Please read all the information below before purchasing!

This workshop explores metalworking fundamentals and is perfect for those who have always wanted to learn traditional jewelry fabrication skills. Students will develop hand skills, good studio habits, an appreciation for quality craftsmanship, and essential fabrication techniques while designing and producing one-of-a-kind jewelry.

This class requires you to work with tiny details and demands hand dexterity. Please consider this when making your purchase.

In this condensed workshop, students will learn to cut and pierce out shapes from metal sheet, using a jeweler's saw, solder and anneal (soften) metal with a torch, how to use a flex shaft, add texture to surfaces with hammers, how to use metal stamps, as well as add patina (darkening the metal) and some basic finishing techniques. Our time will be spent on class instruction and practicing techniques on sample pieces, and you'll make one hammered silver stacking ring and one pair of textured copper or brass dangle earrings.

Materials for instruction samples, the stacker ring, and the earrings are all included in the $25 class materials fee.

Included with your workshop purchase are 2 hrs of independent studio time credit. Independent studio hours must be used within 3 months from workshop dates. During independent studio hours, participants will work on their own jewelry projects using the student bench tools and soldering station in the presence of an instructor to ask questions if needed. This is not a substitute for private lessons.

If you're interested in purchasing tools after the workshop, I can provide you with a complete list of my studio tools and equipment with links to buy and a discount code for wholesale pricing from one of my suppliers that will be good for 6 months after the workshop.
